Hello! I am interested in determining how post-transplant seedling color affects survival. I just need a way to quantify how “red” vs “brown” vs “green” a seedling is relative to the others. This program seems to be perfect in that it can standardize the images based on a grayscale and give me an RGB of the leaves I select, but I am confused about what to do with the output. The RGB values I am getting are between zero and maybe 25, which all seem far too dark for the conventional 0-255 RGB scale. Squaring the values seems to help, but it goes beyond 255 if the value is above like 15. May I please have some guidance on how to interpret the RGB outputs it gives me? Thank you for your help on what might be an obvious question!
Hi,
I think the current toolbox might rescale the RGB values to range from 0 – 100. You can check by looking at an overexposed part of an image. The max value there will give you the answer.
Cheers,
Cedric
