I’m quantifying floral color. I’m just interested in analyzing flower color variation in visible photography (400-700nm). I’d like to know what do you recommend to diffuse light. I found PTFE sheets a bit pricey and hard to find. Are there any other options?
Thanks in advance,
If you’re not requiring UV imaging, or perfectly flat white diffusion (normally overkill) then pretty much any standard photography method is fine. E.g. depending on setup you can buy diffuser sheets, you could use thin white plastic/paper etc…
Really nice diffuse photography is easiest in a white chamber (e.g. buy a white photography chamber/light box, or use an expanded polystyrene box). Using cross-polarised light is also a technique you could look at (where light source and camera use polarising filters to block specular reflectance).
