Hi Jolyon and Cedric,
I was wondering if there is an easy way to merge the chromatic and achromatic output from the Local Edge Intensity Analysis? I would like to produce an image that contains both types of contrasts for further analysis.
Thanks
Pierre-Paul
Merge the chromatic and achromatic output from the Local Edge Intensity Analysis?

Hi Pierre-Paul,
Great to hear from you and fantastic to hear you are using LEIA! It should be possible to:
- pull the composite, coloured (it’s in essence a differently coloured overlay for each image stacked together for convenient interpretation which you will need to dismantle) stack apart using the ‘Image -> Stacks -> Stack to Images’ function. This should result in a set of greyscale images, one for each angle (|,/,\) in chromatic or achromatic delta-S.
- You can then create a new stack containing all the images using ‘Image -> Stacks -> Images to Stack’. You might need to relabel your images prior to avoid confusion between chromatic and chromatic images.
- Alternatively, or additionally, you might want to try the ‘Image -> Color -> Split channels’ and ‘merge channels’ options which, rather than creating stacks, merge and fuse the layers into a single image.
I hope this helps?
Kind regards,
Cedric
