Hello! I’m attempting to generate a cone mapping model from a chart. I’ve measured my chart and saved the results table as a .csv file. However, when I try to generate the model, an error message pops up (see attached image). As a result, no .class file of the model is created; the only format that exists in the “Cone Models” folder is .java. I am therefore unable to perform the “Convert to Cone Catch” function in the toolbox with my created model.
I’m running the latest ImageJ, Java, and have installed the the micaToolbox v2.1.0. Do you have any advice on how to fix this error?

Hi Meghan & Kate,
Given the incidence of MacOS issues I’ve actually installed a MacOS virtualbox for debugging.
I’m running MacOS Catalina (10.15.6), I’ve copied the .zip file from NIH download to “Documents” (not the applications directory, which is likely to have issues). Double-clicking the .zip turns it into an app (.app file), which you just need to double-click to run ImageJ (no need to unzip – nice). Then you can control-click the imagej.app file and select “show package contents” and copy the micaToolbox files into the .app package.
When I do this it seems to work fine (i.e. can make cone models and compile the .java script to make the .class file happily)
Perhaps give this a go and let me know how it goes. If it works I’ll update the installation info (maybe make a video).
Cheers,
Jolyon
