When trying to process an image using the DCRaw reader function I get a message saying the lookup thread has been terminated and there is no such file or directory of the image I have selected to process. If i save the images as a JPEG or raw data I get a different message stating the file cannot be decoded. Do I need to save my images in a special place or as a particular file for this to work?
And just as an aside, the newest beta version of the toolbox does not seem to have the DCRaw reader option available at present, I had to add it from the previous version before it appeared in the ‘input-output’ menu of ‘plugins’.
Many thanks!
Hi Callum,
The new version of the toolbox (v2) no longer uses the DCRAW reader plugin (which was accessible through “plugins > Imput/Output > DCRAW Reader”. It was becoming too problematic and had poor cross-platform support, so I wrote my own DCRAW handling plugin. You can use/test my new DCRAW loading function in isolation by going “plugins > miceToolbox > Tools > DCRAW import”. Please try using this with a fresh install of the toolbox (the old and new versions can’t be combined as there were so many changes involved).
Try a fresh install of everything and let me know if you still have issues with loading RAW images.
Cheers,
Jolyon
